Program Summary:

The EmeraldPlanet weekly television programs are broadcast and distributed via Channel 10 TV in Fairfax, Virginia USA. The programs are being simulcast to 532 stations around the United States and then overseas by the Internet and C-SPAN television. The EmeraldPlanet programs are currently available in all countries and territories around the world.  The Emerald Trek and companion The Emerald Mini-Treks are identifying the 1,000 “best practices” on location from the 143 nations, 750 cities, and 50,000 communities by Internet TV, local television stations, main stream media outlets, YouTube, Facebook, The EmeraldPlanet Meetup, Twitter, among other social media networks, and all manner of print media.

The EmeraldPlanet TV is broadcasting weekly a number of the “best practices which are identified through collaboration with:  major non-governmental organizations (NGOs); United Nations, universities and colleges; research institutes; government ministries and agencies; Embassies; banking and micro-lending organizations; Chambers of Commerce; World Trade Centers, international bodies such as The World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), Inter-American Development Bank, African Development Bank Group, Asian Development Bank, UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization), citizens groups; multimedia organizations; among others by utilizing the most advanced broadcasting hardware and software along with an outstanding television Production Crew to reach an ever expanding global audience. The Emerald Trek is focused upon linking principals identified among the 1,000 ‘best practices’ in the 143 nations being visited through this world-wide movement. The Emerald Trek is encompassing over 300,000 miles, visiting 750 major cities, and 50,000 suburban and rural communities in the identified nations.

Sheldon L. Ray, Jr. is a Senior Vice President, Investments and Portfolio Manager at R&R Global Asset Management of Raymond James in Washington, DC. He co-manages global equity and global balanced portfolios for individuals and institutions. Sheldon’s analysis focuses on risk management, corporate governance, global macroeconomics, and long term geopolitical outlook, in addition to dividend yields, price-to-earnings ratios and other fundamentals. He studies numerous aspects of China’s emergence and assesses their impact on nearly all investment decisions. He conducts his own research and maintains regular contact with senior government officials, diplomats, regulators and journalists.

 Sheldon began his stock market experience as a young investor (age 14) in the grueling bear market of the early 1970’s. He entered the securities profession with Prudential Securities in 1996, and moved to UBS in 2001. He joined Morgan Stanley in March 2008. He joined Raymond James in February 2015. Previously, Sheldon worked for 11 years in the real estate investment business. The first five years were spent in Hong Kong, where he advised senior corporate executives on real estate investments and financing. Sheldon’s Hong Kong experience was pivotal in developing his global perspective.

 Sheldon currently serves as chairman of the board of the Osgood Center (www.osgoodcenter.org), on the board of advisors of the SEC Historical Society (www.sechistorical.org), on the board of PAL (www.peopleanimalslove.org), and on the investment committee of Georgetown Presbyterian Church. He has been an active member of the Rotary Club of Washington, DC for over 20 years, having initially joined Rotary in Hong Kong in 1988.  Sheldon has a bachelor of science degree in finance from Louisiana State University, and lives in Washington, D.C.

 Sheldon regularly speaks to various groups on China, international financial markets and global corporate governance issues. Audiences have included the National Defense University, Foreign Service Institute of the US State Department, Fudan University, alumni groups of the University of Chicago and Harvard, Nordea Bank, and CCTV.During the creation of Sarbanes/Oxley, he advised SEC commissioners on non-US securities regulation and also advised UBS equity analysts on upcoming governance changes.  Sheldon appears on The EmeraldPlanet TV, headquartered in Washington, D.C.

Charles (Chuck) D.  Vollmer is the author and founder of Jobenomics:  Creating 20 Million Jobs By 2020 (www.Jobenomics.com).   Jobenomics, the book, deals with the economics of business, job, wealth, and tax revenue creation.    Jobenomics, the national grassroots movement, has a goal of creating 20 million new United States private sector jobs.  Jobenomics has a following of several million people.   Jobenomics programs involve highly scalable business creation efforts that can mass produce new small US businesses with emphasis on Generation Y, Women, Veteran, and Minorityowned businesses.   

 Mr. Vollmer is the CEO of eCyclingUSA (www.eCyclingUSA.com), created by Jobenomics as part of their Urban Mining and Business Generator Initiatives to reclaim highvalue materials from electronic waste in order to finance new innercity and minorityowned businesses.     Mr. Vollmer is on numerous boards including the Combat Soldier’s Recovery Fund that provides financial aid to wounded veterans, the International Center for Religion and Diplomacy that is dedicated to international peacemaking and conflict resolution, several national business networks, and several small businesses.  

National-Level Initiatives.  Jobenomics developed two detailed reports (several hundred pages) involving emerging technologies and systems related to the Energy Technology Revolution (ETR) and the Network Technology Revolution (NTR) that could create 20 million new American jobs within a decade given proper leadership and support.  Goal: encourage policy and decision-makers to maximize ETR and NTR job and business creation and facilitate discussion in multiple year presidential, state, and local political campaigns. Jobenomics developed an Urban Mining program to help cities monetize high value waste streams in order to create jobs and fund local business generation efforts.  

 He is a frequent lecturer on national security, the economy and business creation. In 1996 to present, Mr. Vollmer founded VII Inc. (www.VIIinc.com), a strategic planning, systems engineering and investment capital firm specializing in government and business initiatives.  VII’s clients include major domestic and international government agencies and corporations.  

 Mr. Vollmer regularly works with United States Congress, Department of Defense (DoD), and government officials.  He assisted leaders on force transformation authoring the US Air Force’s VECTORS campaign, the National Guard’s VANGUARD campaign, and DoD’s Rapid Dominance and Shock & Awe concepts.    He also helps innovators and entrepreneurs establish small businesses.   VII Inc. focuses on security (national, homeland, cyber and economic), information technology, energy, and international business. VII Capital Partners specializes in business planning and financing emerging businesses.  VII Enterprise Solutions specializes in emerging information and communications technology.
