WDC Solar, Inc.
was created with the intention of providing access to solar energy to all socio-economic classes in Washington, D.C. Four years ago, the founders created a low-income solar program in conjunction with the District of Columbia Sustainable Energy Utility (“DCSEU”) which allows low-income homeowners in Washington, D.C. to have solar photovoltaic (“PV”) systems installed on the roofs of their homes at no cost to the homeowners. Its mission is to improve the environment and quality of life in low-income urban communities of color by increasing the availability and use of solar energy in those neighborhoods.
